What are detailing add-ons for a car?

Detailing add-ons are extra services you can choose in addition to your base detailing package. They’re designed for issues that go beyond a standard clean, like heavy pet hair, smoke odor, mold, or deep stains. Since these problems require extra time, tools, and products, they aren’t included in the typical detail price. Add-ons let you customize your service so your car gets exactly what it needs.

Do I need add-ons if I’m already booking a full detail?

A full detail is great for restoring your car’s interior and exterior, but it’s built around the “average” vehicle condition. If your car has special challenges — such as odor, embedded fur, or mold — those require extra steps not covered in the base package. That’s where add-ons come in: they target problem areas without you having to book a second full service.

How long does pet hair removal take during a detail?

Pet hair removal is added onto your detail appointment and usually doesn’t extend the visit by much. However, heavily embedded fur can be very time-intensive, which is why it’s priced separately from a standard interior detail. This service is billed at $50 per hour when added to a detail.

Can I book more than one add-on at the same time?

Yes — many customers do. Add-ons are designed to be stacked with your base package so we can solve multiple problems in a single appointment. For example, pairing stain removal with odor remediation ensures your car not only looks better but also smells fresh.

How much do car detailing add-ons usually cost?

Pricing depends on the add-on and the condition of your vehicle. Smaller upgrades like trim dressing may be a quick enhancement, while smoke or mold treatments involve special chemicals and equipment, which are not factored into a normal detail price. The add-on menu allows us to give you a fair, customized price instead of raising base detail prices across the board.

Will smoke odor or mold come back after treatment?

When treated properly with the right equipment and products, odors and mold are greatly reduced or eliminated. These are not quick wipe-downs you’d get in a normal detail package. We use specialized processes and chemicals designed to last, and we’ll also check for underlying issues — such as leaks or cabin air filters — that may be contributing to the problem. Cabin filters can even be replaced as part of this service upon request, helping ensure the issue doesn’t return.
